What does the group focus on?
The group has selected a limited number of measures in the North Sea Region 2020 strategy to focus on the next 2–3 years. The overall focus of the group is to link the regions around the North Sea in practical co-operation to solve common challenges.
Development of sustainable North Sea tourism
The group is focused on route development including building of partnerships, mapping of regional efforts and development of project applications.
Identify opportunities for culture and tourism and provide cooperation framework
The group will work on identifying and establishing cooperation networks between member regions and securing better integration across and around the North Sea.

How is the work organized?
The work is mainly organized in plenary group meetings and seminars held 2-3 times a year. As the group is focused on developing transnational project ideas, project development sessions are an integrated part of group meetings.
Meetings are open to all member regions of the North Sea Commission. External experts with specific interests or competences are invited to the meetings.
The group is politically led by a Chair and two vice-chairs and supported by an advisor
