NSC event: How transnational cooperation in the North Sea Region can contribute to overall climate goals

/, Transport Working Group/NSC event: How transnational cooperation in the North Sea Region can contribute to overall climate goals

Brussels, 28 February 2019

The seminar was jointly organised by the NSC thematic groups on Energy & Climate change and Transport. The event presented the state of play and outlook on energy & climate performance and cooperation in the North Sea Region, overall policy frameworks on energy & climate and alternative fuels for transport, as well as regional strategies and transnational projects.  The seminar had a dedicated session for discussing input to energy & climate issues in the new North Sea Commission strategy post 2020, and thus also served as a transnational stakeholder consultation.

Some 50 people took part in this event – including representatives of the European Commission, intergovernmental organisations, national institutions, European networks, the CPMR, research organisations, transnational programmes and projects, regional Brussels offices, and some 15 member regions of the NSC.
